This employee will be the primary support role for French payroll processing. The employee will ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time. Ensure that payroll processing and personnel administration accurately reflect company policies/agreements.  Interpret salary policies and ensure that the appropriate amounts and deductions are calculated and applied. Coordinate upgrades of the third-party payroll system. Verify compliance with regulatory requirements and keep abreast of changes in legislation. Participate in audits of internal records, workers' compensation, tax returns, and related documentation.

The employee will also focus on continuous improvement of payroll and related processes for France, and other European payrolls as time allows. Optimize payroll standard operating processes. Document frequently asked questions and escalation protocols. Transition basic payroll questions to DN’s People Services Help Desk. Work with the HR Technology team to maximize automation of data flow to payroll (ex: new hire data flow, data changes, terminations).



Responsibilities

Primary Payroll Responsibilities:   

  • Entering payroll variables (ADP Decidium tool)
  • Managing the interface and data for Time and Activity Management (ADP Decidium's GTA)
  • Managing payroll files (entering salary, absences, leave, CET, PEE, PERCOL, advance payments, adjustments, meal vouchers, etc.)
  • Validating outsourced payroll independently, including complex final account balances
  • Validation of DSN remote payments and payment of social security contributions 
  • Interface with Finance for payroll/ADP issues and accounting and SOX audits
  • Calculation of severance pay and related charges
  • Calculation of profit sharing and end-to-end process management
  • Management of declarations (DOETH, housing action, gender equality, etc.) and Dares survey
  • Solve problems, manage projects, and handle payroll in general

Additional Personnel Administration Tasks, As Needed:

  • Administer employee benefits and work with benefit vendors (Urssaf, mutual insurance, provident fund, etc.) 
  • Manage provident fund files


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience or expertise in French payroll (ADP - GSI Decidium + Requêteur knowledge preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Good business French skills (Written and spoken). 
  • Good business English skills (Written and spoken). 
  • Legal knowledge, strong sense of confidentiality, and autonomy.
  • Essential interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
