About the role:
The Payroll Service Manager is responsible for engaging and supporting their team in all day to day payroll processing and reporting activities for their team. The service manager will ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately using the agreed upon standards and client requirements. You will need to perform active management, understand the levels of progress and need for development for each individual while recognizing how the team’s activities fit into the larger picture of payroll operations throughout the company. As the service manager you are expected to display decision-making skills that support all company and payroll policies while maintaining a professional environment for all team members.
Key responsibilities:
Support the associates and specialists on their team to be able to independently process payroll
Ensure that the Payroll calendar is followed and understand standard and client specific payroll reports
Effectively manage and monitor ticket queues using the appropriate tools to ensure tickets are handled per the defined timelines
Effectively manage and monitor all client SLAs using the appropriate tools
Manage and Identify deviations from the contractually defined standard scope
Understand standard and client specific payroll reports reporting needs as required by the customer contract and scope of service
Ability to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information
Support and adhere to all security compliance procedures while managing security incidents as per the defined process
Experience:
Fluent English and German skills
Good understanding of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
2-3 years relevant experience administering Payroll in an HR consulting, HR Outsourcing or Corporate environment
Strong ability to coach, develop action plans, which maximize performance, and provide effective feedback and share business updates as appropriate
HRIS knowledge: Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft knowledge preferred Payroll certifications
Experience managing small-medium scale projects
Flexibility to support a global and fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal skills
Self-motivated and a willingness to learn
