To support this continued expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist to join its team in Limassol, Cyprus. Ensures timely and accurate payroll processing for employees in Cyprus, while supporting HR operations and global mobility processes. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience across payroll, HR documentation, and mobility lifecycle tasks

Responsibilities:


Payroll Management

  • Owns the end-to-end Cyprus payroll process in collaboration with the external payroll provider.

  • Validates payroll inputs: new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, benefits, and time-off data.

  • Reviews and approves payroll calculations provided by the vendor, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.

  • Performs post-payroll checks and coordinates timely salary payments.

  • Manages statutory deductions (tax, social insurance, GHS) and ensures timely reporting and remittance to local authorities.

  • Ensures compliance with local tax, labor, and social security laws.

  • Processes and reconciles payroll-related invoices and ensures proper documentation for audits.

  • Supports annual tax return processes (e.g., IR1, IR7), salary certificates, and reporting to authorities.

  • Maintain payroll documentation and audit trails in line with internal controls and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).

  • Supports internal and external audits, providing payroll reports and explanations as needed.

  • Collaborates with HR, Finance, and Legal teams on employment and compensation changes.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries

  • Liaises with government authorities (e.g., Tax Department, Social Insurance Services) when necessary.


HR Operations

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS and physical/electronic personnel files, in line with local labor law and company policy.

  • Supports the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, contract generation, changes, terminations.

  • Manages HR document flow, including generation, filing, and archiving of contracts, amendments, and official letters.

  • Ensures accurate tracking of leave entitlements and other statutory benefits.

  • Supports HR data reporting and monthly HR dashboards.

  • Maintains compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Global Mobility Support

  • Supports global mobility tasks such as relocation coordination, work permits, and visa renewals.

  • Collaborates with external providers (e.g., immigration consultants, relocation agents) for visa/work permit processes.

  • Tracks and maintains documentation related to mobility cases.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll processing, ideally within Cyprus in a multinational company.

  • Solid understanding of Cyprus labor law, tax, and social insurance regulations.

  • Experience with HR administrative tasks and documentation.

  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems.

  • Proficiency in Excel and data reporting.

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

  • Would be a Plus: Exposure to global mobility administration (e.g., immigration, relocations)
