The Payroll Supervisor, is responsible for overseeing payroll processing within a shared services environment, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery to multiple business units or geographic locations.

How you’ll contribute 

 

Payroll Supervisor who excels in this role: 

  • Manage a team of payroll specialists, ensuring compliance with local payroll regulations, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality. 
  • Supervise end-to-end payroll processing for all assigned business units, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Manage payroll schedules, ensuring that payroll runs are completed accurately and on time.
  • Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of payroll reports, including month-end and year-end re-porting.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Allocate work assignments and manage workload distribution to meet operational deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to payroll.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws, social security, and other statutory requirements, updating payroll processes as needed.
  • Maintain and oversee internal controls to safeguard payroll data integrity and confidentiality. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the payroll function and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize payroll processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Support the implementation of new payroll systems or software upgrades within the shared services environment.
  • Act as a point of escalation for payroll-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business units.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on complex payroll queries or issues.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payroll processing.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of payroll records.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a required High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance preferred. Additional requirements include a minimum 5 years of experience in payroll management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment is highly preferred.
